Tools of the Trade

In this heavily animated film, we tell the stories of how the skateboard wheel, the surf fin, and the climbing anchor evolved. The editing required heavy storyboarding and imagination, relying on intuitive pacing with the music and VO to decide exact timing for animations. The end piece is a cocktail of live action footage, archive, and illustrations from a talented design and animation team.
